Rasmussen put out a poll on Thursday to find out if Americans think that the current Administration bears any responsibility for the higher gas prices we are experiencing.

The results are somewhat surprising.

I would have thought that a much higher number would report that they think the administration bears the responsibility of higher gas prices since they are the once making policy decisions that affect the price of gas.

Gas price were spiking before Russia made any moves and the price was increasing because of Green Policies the Biden Administration put in place.
Russia makes up only 2% of our oil import, so the ban on Russian oil should not have such a major impact on our gas prices.

Yet the results of the poll show that 64% of American Voters say that the Biden Administrations bears “SOME” responsibility. That’s shocking.

A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 24% disagree and 12% are not sure.

Most Republicans (90%) and independents (58%) believe the Biden administration is at least somewhat responsible for higher gas prices. Democrats, by a 47% to 39% margin, disagree.

The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 24-27, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.

Note: Neither Scott Rasmussen, ScottRasmussen.com, nor RMG Research, Inc. have any affiliation with Rasmussen Reports. While Scott Rasmussen founded that firm, he left nearly a decade ago and has had no involvement since that time.
