This is an interesting topic because we do have examples where age limits exist for alcohol and private industries like car rental companies restrict customers to 25 and older.
In this case, a Federal Appeals Court ruled that regulations setting an age limit at 21 for gun purchases to be unconstitutional.
The court’s majority opinion was that the laws being argued relegated “either the Second Amendment or 18-20 year olds to a 2nd class status”.
This position was upheld by court appointees from President Trump, President Obama, and President George W. Bush. So it was a diverse opinion to project young gun owners Second Amendment Rights.
